SCOTLAND have named three debutants, including CALA Edinburgh's Amy Brodie, in the squad for the ladies' European Indoor hockey championships in Germany.
Brodie, Leigh Fawcett (Grove Ladies) and Eli Cockburn (Western) will get their first taste of continental competition in Duisburg from 22-24 January.

Coach Gordon Shepherd has relied on experience as most of the squad played in the previous European Championships two years ago in Almeria, Spain, when the Scots finished a creditable fourth.

A similar position would book Scotland's ticket to the Indoor World Cup in Poland next year.

In their qualifying pool, Scotland face champions Germany, who beat them 8-2 two years ago, plus Lithuania and Ukraine.

Scotland squad: C Dow, B Ward, V Bunce, J Bryce, A Rowan (all Dundee Wanderers), A Gibson, K Marshall, E Cockburn (all Western), K Cameron, L Glass, L Fawcett (all Grove Ladies HC),
A Brodie (CALA Edinburgh).
